Southfield Baseball Showcase and Tournament

June 20 - 23, 2024

With ongoing concerns regarding COVID-19 and the Omicron Variant, we will continue to following the Michigan COVID-19/Omicron Variant health recommendations and the CDC guidelines and protocols.

Showcase SymposiuM AND COLLEGE FAIR

Mandatory 5:30 p.m. check-in

Players will hear from former collegiate athletes, HBCU Coaches, and community leaders on the expectations of being a student-athlete including balancing coursework and workouts, and NCAA rules and regulations.

 

The objective of the fair is to provide students and their parents with access to information about the value of attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities. College representatives from HBCU's will present information related to their universities admissions, scholarship and housing policies, post-secondary options to a student's career, internship, and vocational interest and opportunities. Allow participants will have the opportunity to become familiar with a variety of financial aid programs and educational resources, and relevant programming that showcases student achievement, talents, and philanthropy.

The fair is free and open to the public

Skills Evaluation & Drills

Players will participate in position drills for college recruiter evaluation.

Mandatory 8:00 a.m. check-in

Showcase Tournament

A three-day tournament will provide players the opportunity to showcase their individual skills in a live game setting. Coaches from participating HBCU, regional colleges and universities, JUCOs and pro scouts will be in attendance.
